Victoria De La Torre, Para Ellos

writer, co-director, producer

Victoria De La Torre is a California native who has loved telling stories ever since performing backyard plays with her sister as a child. Becoming a writer/director has always been her dream and now has become her life.

Victoria received her BA in Communications Mass Media from California State University of San Bernardino where, in 2008, she was also awarded the 'Outstanding Student in Mass Communication Concentration Award.' She has also interned at Robert Greenwald Productions.

While pursuing her MFA in Film and TV Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Victoria was a two-time recipient of the Rodolfo Montes Memorial Scholarship and, in 2010, was awarded the John Huston Directing Scholarship for her student film titled, The Day Before. Aside from writing and directing, Victoria discovered her love for production design while at USC. She has designed/set decorated over twenty-five projects.

One of Victoria's best experiences to date was being selected as a winner of the Subway Fresh Artist Competition where she served as both co-writer and producer for her web series, Herman. Victoria is most inspired by her family and culture and is looking forward to bringing her USC thesis film, Para Ellos, to full realization with co-director, Christian Contreras.

Student produced at the University of Southern California - School of Cinematic Arts.
